Vehicle Wrap Guide: Design, Production, Installation and Removal
A vehicle wrap remains one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising available, digital channels included. Unlike a custom paint job, a wrap is affordable at any fleet size and can be customized per vehicle without repainting anything.

Every job starts with the application, not the product name. Tell us what it has to survive and we will specify the material to meet it.
Stage one
The design stage
We measure the vehicle before designing anything. A full wrap covers every square inch of a car, SUV, truck or van, which means measuring everything from headlights to spoilers — panel gaps, door handles, mirrors, body seams.
Once we have exact dimensions, our artists develop the design, and we ask for your input as it develops. Before anything goes to production, you get a mockup for approval.

Stage two
Production
Production is the most straightforward stage. Large-format printers output the graphics, which are then laminated. Lamination is not optional — unprotected ink fades under UV exposure the same way furniture near a window does.
Our laminates protect the vinyl against water, dust, road debris, bird droppings and insects, and hold color for up to five years without significant fading.

Stage three
Installation
Before installation we clean the exterior to remove dirt, wax and chemical residue. A clean surface is the single biggest factor in whether a wrap adheres properly and stays adhered — most wrap failures trace back to surface prep. Installation typically takes a few hours per vehicle.
For windows we install perforated graphic film, which reads as a solid image from outside while remaining transparent from the driver’s seat.
Stage four
Removal
Wraps come off. Whether you are rebranding, selling the vehicle or refreshing the design, full removal usually takes a few minutes and the original paint underneath is unaffected. That is a meaningful advantage over paint for leased fleets and resale value.
Economics
Cost compared to a billboard
A full vehicle wrap costs roughly the same as renting a standard billboard for one month — except you pay for the wrap once.
Measured across five years, vehicle graphics work out around 98 percent cheaper than equivalent billboard placement, which for a small business can mean tens of thousands of dollars a year.
- Billboard
- Rented monthly, every month, for five years
- Vehicle wrap
- Paid once, replaced when you rebrand
- Five-year difference
- Approximately 98% cheaper
